There are three different hair types for toupees, normal hair, remy hair and virgin hair.

Most customers want to know how to choose the right hair type. Here are the differences between the three hair types.

Normal hair type:

Normal hair is acid treated and has no cuticle. Hair tips and hair roots are mixed together, not all in one direction. But it doesn't tangle, because after acid treatment, it's smooth and has no cuticle residue. The hair is very soft and sparse. It has a natural color and may have been bleached and dyed.

Remy's hair type:

Remy's hair is cut in a braid. The root and tip of the hair are in the same direction. It's also acid treated, but less. There's less cuticle left. It has a natural color and may have been bleached and dyed. It's more durable than regular hair.

Original hair type:

The original hair is cut into a braid from a person's head. The root and tip of the hair are in the same direction. Color is the original natural color and has never been dyed or bleached. It has no acid treatment and has a complete epidermis. It's natural and healthy hair, without any treatment. It's the most durable.
